A driver suffers injuries after losing control of his vehicle and slamming into a patch of trees near Goleta, California. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the collision happened just before 8 p.m. in the 5200 block of Shoreline Drive on the Patterson Mesa. When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they found an Audi A4 deep into a grove of trees.

At this time, the driver’s name was not released. Authorities say the vehicle was lodged so far into the trees that it took firefighters about 45 minutes, using chainsaws, to remove it. The male was taken to the hospital for his injuries. The crash was under investigation and no further details have been released.
