City Heights, CA – Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Pedestrian Crash on University Ave

City Heights, CA (September 21, 2019) – A woman suffered serious, life-threatening injuries in a pedestrian crash that occurred in City Heights on Friday, September 20th. The crash took place around 7:30 a.m. on the 4800 block of University Avenue.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a 77-year-old woman was crossing University Avenue when she was hit by a 2015 Lexus. The Lexus was traveling westbound at the time of the crash. The woman suffered critical injuries, including a dislocated pelvis and a brain bleed. She was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have not released the woman’s name at this time. No information was released regarding the driver.

The crash is still under investigation and there is no further information available at this time.
