Canyon Country, CA (January 30, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning, January 29th, left at least one person with serious injuries in Canyon Country. Authorities have stated that the incident occurred at around 5:35 a.m. on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, at or near Via Princessa.
According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided in the HOV lane of the freeway, resulting in a SigAlert. Emergency medical crews were reported to have transported at least one person to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
Authorities have not confirmed the seriousness of injuries at this time. The investigation into the cause of this incident is ongoing.
Our thoughts are with the victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Official records have shown that collision-related injuries tragically claimed the lives of over 3,560 people throughout the state of California in the year 2018, alone. A wide range of many factors such as intoxication, drowsiness, and distracted driving repetitively trigger such severe crashes, considerably increasing the odds that a car accident in California will have detrimental effects for all those involved.
