A big rig driver was killed on Highway 101 south of Santa Rosa Road in Buellton, California. The fatal collision blocked both directions on Highway 101 for several hours.

According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the truck was engulfed in flames and in the bottom of a creek upon the arrival of emergency responders. It’s reported that the truck leaked 50-60 gallons of fuel into the creek bed.

The other vehicle involved included at 38-year-old female, a 10-year-old female and a 10-month-old infant. All suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

According to the reports, CHP is still investigating the cause of the collision.
