Bakersfield, CA (September 9, 2019) – A man on a bicycle was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Saturday night, September 7th. The fatal collision happened in the 1000 block of Kentucky Street at an unspecified time.
According to police, an adult male bicyclist was hit by a car, subsequently knocking him to the ground. While lying in the roadway, the victim was then struck by a second vehicle. The first driver fled the area but the second motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Emergency medical crews arrived at the accident site where they tragically pronounced the victim deceased. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
