Palmdale, CA (March 8, 2020) – A man from Palmdale has been identified as the victim of a crash on the Antelope Valley Freeway. The crash initially occurred on Thursday, March 5th.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Leonard Mompeller was operating a GMC pickup truck southbound on the freeway when he collided with a big rig around 2:55 a.m. The impact of the crash ripped off the rear bumper of the truck. The driver of the big rig failed to stop after the crash. Mompeller died at the crash scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
